The war has just begun!

OLD ARTICLES. The war has ended ! This is what most of the poeple living on this planet think ... But the truth is that the war hasen't even started yet ....

It is true that Saddam Hussein is a total dictator and that his people

has been suffering from poverty and illness for the last 24 years of his reign

but it is true also that the States is not there to save the humanity from

sadness and injustice.

We all agree and sympathies with the United States when it bombed

Afghanistan as the events of September 11 are unacceptable.

But were are the Chemical weapons in Iraq? Do u think that the dictator Saddam wouldn't have used them if he had any? And why Iraq? There are even more dangerous weapons in Iran, India, Korea etc. Why do the States have the right to have all sort of weapons and Iraq not?

A lot of questions can be asked in this critical situation of the gulf but only one answer is there .... It is the U.S.A that rule the world and will continue to rule it for longer then we might think!

It is not only fuel which is the major cause of the gulf war that made the States invent a stupid reason for their invasion but it is also the strategically geographic location of Iraq that makes it so precious....

Now the U.S.A is in the heart of the Middle East and the gulf countries ... She rules politically the problems of the middle east by being so close geographically to them and rules economically by putting her hands on the most precious treasure the human has : Fuel!!!

Have the industrial countries such as the European community asked themselves what can be their future if the gallon of fuel is double the price or even three times more?!!!! What can they say if the States has the control over the most important sources of fuel and have decided so ?!!!

I want to make clear that I am not trying to fight the United States. I am not against them in that war ... NOT AT ALL ...

On a humanitarian level, i agree totally that the Iraqi people needed to be free form this dictator, they have the right to live decently and have the right to dream about a better future....So the States in that level have done a great job!!!

As a Lebanese girl, living in Lebanon, the war has and will affect us economically only ... But we're used now to the bad economy so it really does not make all that difference.....

But on a higher level, how the presence of the Americans in the heart of the middle east will affect us ?!!! This is a question that only time can answer......

On a very personal point of view , I see that the Americans will surely bring to this part of the world some civilization and technology along with open societies that can meet up the new millennium...
