Another day has passed me by
And I sit here and hear me sigh
While marvelling the wond’rous sight
Of one more day that’s turned to night
And I begin to think of all
The gifts I have; the great, the small
Of everything that makes my life
Worth the fight through bitter strife
My gaze I lift towards the sky
Meeting more than meets the eye
Knowing, Father, You’re above
Giving all because of love
In tranquil whisper I begin
To thank for all the outs and ins
Thanks for family and tender care
Thanks for water, thanks for air
Of joyful times, of blissful laughter
Spiced with gentle hugs thereafter
Thanks for roof above my head
Thanks for food, for friends, for bed
Even during tears and pain
I thank You for the sun after rain
Lastly I thank for the creation called Me
That You past my weaknesses do see
That I may live to honour You
Forever and ever in all that I do.
